Technical Case Study: Dunja Series
Project Scope: Tonal Integration & Monochromatic Conversion
Workflow: 100% Non-destructive. This study focuses on technical precision across two distinct visual approaches: high-end color grading and systematic B&W conversion.
Technical Specifications:
Tonal & Chromatic Correction: Targeted adjustments to establish a continuous skin tone relationship between the face, neck, and shoulders.
Luminance & Contrast Architecture: Chromatic values converted via targeted luminance channels to ensure maximum separation in the B&W study, utilizing localized Dodge & Burn to define facial geometry.
Texture Stewardship: Application of Micro Dodge & Burn to neutralize tonal irregularities while maintaining 100% of the original pore structure and skin physics.
Hair & Detail Refinement: Systematic removal of stray hairs and frizz while preserving the natural hairline. Neutralization of distractions on hands and stabilization of metallic element luminosity.
Shadow Management: Precise calibration of the black point to ensure detail retention in deep shadows and hair follicles without signal clipping.
The Result: A technical execution prioritizing the preservation of the original aesthetic and realism through a strictly mechanical approach.
