Nikki Sofie Series | A Technical Beauty Case Study
Overview
This project focuses on the transition from traditional retouching methods to advanced Tonal Continuity and Volumetric Reconstruction. The goal was to achieve a high-end, commercial aesthetic while maintaining total skin integrity.
Technical Report
Workflow: 100% Non-destructive pipeline.
Micro-Texture Integrity: Neutralization of localized tonal irregularities via Micro Dodge & Burn. This process ensures the systematic preservation of the original skin micro-structure and pore distribution.
Volumetric Sculpting: Application of Macro Dodge & Burn across the facial structure, neck, and shoulders. This technique establishes tridimensionality and enhances bone structure definition.
Chromatic Balancing: Targeted correction of color casts (magenta/red shifts) in the neck and upper torso to ensure a unified and consistent skin tone relationship with the facial area.
Feature Refinement: Technical cleanup of the eye sclera and stabilization of iris saturation. Precision adjustment of lip contours and specular highlights on gloss textures.
